WHAT IS TYRO?

TYRO® Youth is a nationally known, award-winning, best practice curriculum designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to achieve their highest potential. This intensive character development program teaches participants to own responsibility for their actions, and prepares them to live a life of honor and integrity.

REVOLUTIONIZING CORRECTIONS PROGRAMS

TYRO Youth addresses the issues teens in youth facilities and detention centers face today. TYRO Youth equips students with tools to overcome their barriers and negative life cycles. Each workshop teaches students perseverance, diversion, overcoming barriers to success and determination during tough times. By identifying goals and creating a roadmap, students understand the “why” behind their determination and perseverance.

Hear from others

The best part of the program is that it gave you the feeling that there is someone there for you that won’t judge you. It was helpful to know that if you needed help it was there. I hope this program keeps going on to help kids out.

“The TYRO Youth program yielded ‘statistically significant gains’ among participants including measurable change in their behavioral intentions regarding abstinence and knowledge of the negative consequences of sexual activity before marriage, risk of sexual activity after alcohol/drug use and perceptions of teen pregnancy.”
